On Thursday, May 5th Pete come and pulled the 20 year old pump out of the existing well to see what was needed to do to get the well running. It was fun watching how he pulled up each 20 foot length of pipe to see how deep the well was and how close to the surface that the water level is. Don't forget to click on the photo below to reveal a video and more photos of the process!

The well pump was found at about 190 feet down. A fun process to watch as you can see in the video below.

The last bit of water in the pipe before we found the submersed pump.
In order to install the new well pump it was necessary to cut off half of the 6 inch cement base and dig a 3 foot by 3 foot hole to put a continuous pressure pump for the well.

The Mini Excavator made pulling up the concrete base easy work!

Boys and their toys save lots of manual labor!
Eric used his mini excavator to lift the cement and then dig the hole.
