The chickens can now roam freely through the fruit orchard, thanks to the new fence that surrounds the orchard. At night, they use their new "Chunnel" (Chicken Tunnel) to safely return to their run, protected from predators. We didn't even have to train them to go through it. When MIke calls they come running to him! Happy Chickens produce more eggs! to give to the Senior Center!

Thanks to generous donations the orchard is now elk and deer proof. The tiny wire cages that surrounded each tree are now removed and the trees can stretch out and grow propely without being trimmed by the elk and deer who love the orchard! The fence blends in nicely with the orchard. tow gates at either end of the orchard. One is a 6 ft opening and the at the other end is a 12 foot gate for vehicle access.

Due to the generosity of donors and volunteers, we are now able to clean up and enhance the beauty of the area. After 22 years of neglect, the overgrowth had accumulated significantly. We couldn't have accomplished this without the help of local volunteers. The burn pile is getting bigger and bigger... The right equipment makes the job a whole lot easier for our crew of two. A BIG thank you to all the donors that have made it possible to get the storage tanks plumbed into the well! There are now 10,000 gallons of water in the tanks to be used on the orchard and other water needs. Monsoon rains have brought out the sunflowers to beautify the area around the water tanks. The next project will be to fence in the orchard so the trees can be taken out of the cages that keep the deer and elk from eating them! Even though all the fruit in town was wiped

Two non working abandoned wells were fitted with solar pumps to allow water to be pumped to the surface for usage. Two 5,000 gallon tanks were acquired for storing of the water. , Hooking up the solar panels that will run the submerged pumps in the wells. The solar wells pump only when the sun is shining so the water will go directly into these two 5,000 gallon storage tanks. Water will then be able to be used on demand for watering the fruit orchard along with other needs on
